Arlee Sneed was born June 19, 1916 the first of sixteen children born to the parents of George & Mary Sneed in Athens, Texas.

On January 19, 1937 Deacon Arlee Sneed was joined in holy matrimony to Valentine Hodge and their union (8) children were born.  He served in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged.  He was employed at Michelen Dealers of USA for (34) years until he retired at the age of sixty-five.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior under the late  Rev. Ambrose H. Haggerty a Riverside Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas,Texas as a faithful disciple he served as a Deacon and President of the ushers. He remained a faithful disciple and servant under the pasturage of the late S.T. Tuston until his health begin to fail.

Deacon Sneed is preceded in death by his wife, Valentine Sneed, (2) sons, Emmett Dean, and Lester Sneed, (1) daughter, Mary Lee Rollins, (5) brothers , (8) sisters, (4) grandchildren, and  (4) great-grandchildren.

Being comforted are sons, R.L. (Ella) Sneed, Sammy(Betty) Sneed, Billy Joe Sneed, daughters, Vernice Johnson and Brenda Simmons all of the Dallas, Texas. (2) sisters, Dora Cox, Dallas Texas,  Annie Faye McDonald,  Ft. Worth Texas, (37) grandchildren, (89) great-grandchildren, (83) great-great grandchildren,(2) great-great-great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces,nephews other relatives and friends.
