On May 18,1944 Clyde Earnest Kirby was born unto Johnny and Ezetter Kirby. Clyde accepted Christ at an early age at Lone Star Baptist Church.
Clyde was educated in Dallas, Tx where he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1962. Clyde had a strong work ethic and started his own landscaping business before going to work at Callier hearing & Speech as a lab assistant. He was later hired by LTV as one of the first African American aircraft engineers. He worked at LTV for 38 years until retirement in 2004.
Clyde was passionate about his family. He loved his family unconditionally and was always a phone call away. He enjoyed dancing and singing in the choir and he was apart of various male gospel singing groups. Clyde was a well dressed and sophisticated man that was known for his bright smile and he took great pride in acting as a personal stylist for the men’s choir LFBC.
Clyde dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He was a faithful servant of Christ and was a deacon and dedicated member at Loving Fellowship Baptist church until the failing of his health.
Clyde was proceeded in death by his parents, Jonnie & Ezetter Kirby, two brothers; Marion Vance Kirby and Connie Lee Kirby, sister; Nelda Kirby, and grand daughter; Kevelyn Wigenton Kirby.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his sons; Kevin Kirby, Keenan Kirby, Marcus Kirby, and daughter; Soneaqua “Sunny” Kirby, 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, his sisters; Sandra Hodge, Barbara Smith, and sister-in-law(Louise Kirby), his brothers;Waymon Kirby(Bernice), Jerry Kirby(Patricia), Gary Kirby(Juanita),and Derce Kirby(Kysha);his aunts, Ella Mae Caldwell, Jerline Hughey,and great aunt; Eddie Lee Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews,and extended family members and special friends Rickey Neal and Michelle Cruthcher.
