Claudia Mae Askew was born March 2, 1932 to the late Vernon Scott and Claudia Refuge Scott in Ladonia, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Ladonia, Texas.
She received her formal education from Clarks School District in Ladonia, Texas where she resided and worked until she moved to Dallas, Texas five years before her death. She worked in the nursing field until she retired. As a loyal and dedicated member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church she served and worked in many axillaries.
She and John Askew were joined in holy matrimony and they were blessed with (13) children.
She is preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Claudia Scott, husband, John Askew, brother, William Ben Scott, (2) sons; Bobby Askew, Will Askew, (1) daughter, Linda Askew.
She leaves to carry her legacy her children; (6) sons; Roy (Carol) Askew, Isaac (Beverly) Askew, Rickey Askew, Marvin Askew, Michael(Barbara) Askew, Wayne Askew, (4) daughters, Claudia Davis, Willie (LuLu) Askew-Moore (Kenneth Moore, Amanda (Leon) Harris, Jacqueline (David Williams, (21) grandchildren, (36) great grandchildren, (3) great great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, a very special friend Elizabeth Terry along with many other loving relatives and friends.
