Ruth Louise Anderson was born on March 19, 1938 in Dallas, Texas. She was the second child born to Sula Long Sr. and Mary Antoine Long both who preceded her in death along with her siblings, Jestine, Willie, Freeman, Bessie, Genevieve, and Sula Jr.
Ruth graduated from Saint Peters Catholic School as Valedictorian of her “1955” class. She worked for the US Postal Service until she became disable.
She was a devoted Christian and member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where she played the organ and piano as a youth. God looked down on her as said “Rest My Child; Job well done”, and she transitioned into eternal peace and rest on Saturday afternoon, December 24, 2016.
Ruth was a loving and kind woman who truly loved her family and friends. She left an everlasting impression on everyone whose lives she touched. She is survived by her son Claude Anderson, daughters; LaChelle Williams, and Kimelee (Willie) Anderson-Wigfall, sister; Ruby Hawthorne, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two foster grandchildren, four foster great grandchildren also a host of nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
